Mangawhai heads was
My start point for the day I slowly made my way down the steps and onto the Mangawhai beach. I began clambering around the rocks. I was still taking a pounding from the wind and the sea that was relentlessly smashing the coast!
I walked for about an hour before needing to go up on top of the cliffs to get around to Langs beach.
I crossed through some farmland and then cut down through the bush I arrived at Langs beach not long after 12 and was met by a very friendly man. He had some lunch for me! We walked the beach together at the end we parted ways. I went over the sharp limestone rocks and out to a point were the sea was exploding off the shore it was a very impressive sight!
I cut through a few backyards and stumbled upon the Waipu Lions coastal walk. I have decided that it is most definitely only to be used in dry weather. but it is amazing! the views of the coast are unimaginable! I slept and slept through the mud along the coast arriving at Waipu cove. Today was great!
If you don’t do what could be!
it will always be what could’ve been!
