Storm on the coast

I set off from baddeleys beach making my way across the mudflats I was fully clothed this morning head to toe the wind was much stronger and colder everything was wet and slushy I slipped and slid my way up and over the hills into Christian bay.

From Christian bay I began walking around the gnarly coastline the rocks were slippery and the gale force wind wasn’t helping I followed the coast until I reached Tawharanui regional park. I went through the pest control gate and then crossed the park over the farmland I past the sheep and lots native birds. As Anchor bay came into view the spray and roar from the sea overwhelmed me. I couldn’t wait to get onto that beach!!

I raced down the beach to the northern end. I was headed for Omaha! I traversed along the clifftops and around the rocks the sea was very violent it pure raw power amazed me. I walked past pink beach and then on to Omaha.

Omaha!

The Whangateau harbour was far too dangerous to cross on my raft I got a ride over to the other side and dropped on the beach at Whangateau I climbed up into the bush and made my way along towards TI Point. After reaching this position things started to get very interesting!

I climbed down to Torkington bay and was faced with huge swells and rugged rocks it reminded me of the west coast! I jumped and ran my way around the rocks trying desperately to avoid the mighty waves at all cost!

But the good news is I made it! just a little wet but all warm again in the comfort of a home keeping out of the yucky weather!
